How to integrate with Hostaway

Use Alertify's integration functions to simplify


Integrating Hostaway with Alertify’s dashboard means you will be able to see when guests are making noise, smoking or occupancy violations. Alertify promptly notifies you of these incidents and provides detailed after-incident reports with the guest’s details. 

Use Alertify to… 

  • Intervene when a violation occurs before costly damages happen

  • Know which guests were in the unit when the violation took place

  • Map your units in Hostaway to your units in Alertify


Prerequisites:

  1. An active Alertify account connected to your property

  2. Alertify devices installed and connected to Wi-Fi in your properties


How to integrate Alertify with Hostaway:

On Hostaway…

  1. Login to your Hostaway dashboard  

  2. Scroll down to 'Settings' then click on ‘Hostaway API’ on the left navigation bar

  3. Then click on ‘Create’ 

  4. Name your Hostaway API key

  5. Copy your Account ID and API Key and keep it somewhere safe for later


On Alertify…

  1. Login to your Alertify dashboard 

  2. Scroll down to ‘Integrations’ on the left navigation bar

  3. Then click on ‘Hostaway’ 

  4. Click on ‘Connect’ and accept the terms and conditions

  5. Then paste your Account ID from Hostaway in Client ID in Alertify. And paste API Key from Hostaway in Client Secret in Alertify


Units Import: 

To make sure your units were successfully imported from Hostaway, simply click on the Hostaway integration again in your Alertify dashboard and navigate to the ‘Link Unit’ tab at the top of the page. Here you’ll see a list of units imported from Hostaway. If the units’ buttons say ‘Unlink’, you’ll know that your units are linked successfully and your after-incident reports will pull the correct guest information into the reports generated under the ‘Alerts’ tab. 


To link a unit, simply click the ‘Link’ button, select a unit in your Hostaway account and click on the button ‘Create a link’.
